A finalist in the national ‘Bring Home the Harvest Awards, for 2 years running, the festival has become one of the region’s largest and most popular celebrations of food. Now in its 4th successive year the festival returns with an even bigger and tastier festival at Weston super Mare’s exciting new arts and events venue, The Tropicana (former site of Banksy’s Dismaland)
Many more attractions have brought in this year including a new Eat and Be Food Experience Theatre which features hands on workshops, producer showcases, tasting experiences and cookery demos by professional chefs – all guaranteed to take visitors on an inspiring culinary journey.
Street Food and Drink
Discover a wide range of gourmet street food, speciality coffee, cider, real ale, wine, soft drinks, smoothies, ice cream and a Pimms and Prosecco bar – and chill out with a drink and bite to eat in our live music marquee
Tractor Ted www.tractorted.co.uk will be making an appearance on the Saturday in the Kids and Family Area with a giant bouncy tractor and Little Farm Live which allows visitors to have a close up experience with some of the smaller farm animals. Food themed circus skills, iPad animation, smoothie bikes and street theatre are also on offer as well as food science with At Bristol www.at-bristol.org.uk and an action packed programme of entertainment in the live music marquee. The music marquee also doubles up as a covered eating area so visitors can enjoy the festival whatever the weather.
With over 140 food and drink stands to discover, and a focus on the local and regional produce that’s made the West Country famous, visitors can browse, taste and buy their way around the festival and explore the bustling, vibrant, indoor and outdoor food markets. Everything from venison to wild game and cheese, wine, cakes, liqueurs and chocolates is represented, with many specialist and award winning products.

With a vast array of tasty snacks and meals available from the many, varied, gourmet street food stalls there’s every excuse to spend all day at the festival. Not many events can boast genuine Basque catering, Japanese sushi, Mediterranean, French, Indian and Thai cuisine all under one roof – as well as the very best in traditional West Country catering!
There’s real ale, local cider and wine bars too where visitors can enjoy a locally brewed tipple and re-stock their wine cellars.
Popular foodie celebrity Mike Smylie returns with Kipperland where visitors can learn all there is to know about the humble herring! Watch Mike prepare fish, and taste kippers direct from his live smokery. Visitors will be able to buy fresh shellfish from the Dorset coast too and trout from a local BioAqua farm.
There are competitions too including the very tasty Weston super Bake Off and a wacky Knitted Fruit and Vegetable competition
There’s a large on-site Edible Festival Garden in the Town Square with a kitchen garden plant nursery, green woodworking demonstrations and plenty of inspiration and advice on how to grow delicious produce at home.
